Why people who claimed should get more rewards than others and be double rewarded? Shouldn’t it be that they get the amount based on how much tokens they staked? There will always be someone who haven’t claimed but stealing from him and depriving him of the opportunity to collect the prize is not looking like the right thing to do. What about new stakers? Shouldn’t it be better to take that unclaimed tokens and add them to another staking period so that everybody will have opportunity to get that remaining leftovers unclaimed as bonus?
Explain me what is the point of redistributing unclaimed tokens to those who claimed other than rewarding old users? This is equal to cancelling rewards for those who haven’t claimed and I believe to be fair with them you should give everybody the opportunity to get some extra reward not only for those who claimed and by this I mean new users and those who forgot to claim as well.
Take that unclaimed tokens, make new stacking event, get total number of stacked tokens, divide the number of unclaimed tokens by the number of people staking and calculate additional rewards this way - this will allow people who forgot to claim if they participate again to get some bonus for participating before. Also it would be better for community because new people will have also opportunity to take this bonus, not only old users.
If you plan to reward old users more than everybody else then there will be no new users and this project will be slowly dying… (as of now it is dying but will be dying faster) same fair opportunities for all.
You are right, @przemer. If distributed 2 mln, then it’s mean you eligible to get extra 50%(the rest 1mln/2mln=0.5*100%=50%) reward, 25% for each fulfilled condition.

Personally I tend to agree with @Filmmaniak, what’s is the main goal of rewarding the existing holders again?
As Lisk DAO overall, what we want to achieve is to onboard new users and developers so that all of the investors can benefit from the Lisk network.
Wouldn’t it be more beneficial to use the token for additional airdrop for users or grant for the developers who are onboarding more users?
For everything you’re talking about, the team has already allocated tokens. The current 15 million airdrop is exactly aimed at achieving this.
Actually, Max’s addition is specifically designed to reward those who were present during the migration, but not just randomly — it’s for those who continue to keep their stakes locked.
This is exactly what this reward was originally allocated for.
@shuse2 On one hand, I understand your position, but please read my proposal again carefully. Why was it necessary to dilute the shares of all old holders by 50%? If that hadn’t happened, there wouldn’t be any questions at all. That’s why I believe we shouldn’t distort reality or ignore what happened during the migration—specifically, the 50% dilution (or even more if the community decides not to burn the 100M). As a result, I consider it well-deserved to reward the true active[1] community that supported you in that moment, not just with words but with tokens in their wallets. And this community has still kept their tokens locked.
[1] what does “active” mean? It means someone who participates in the development of the platform, at least by engaging. If a person cannot find the time to claim a reward within six months, then they are not an active user)
@Mona I suggest locking this thread to transition everyone to the new one, as the current thread is linked to the updated topic and has lost its relevance.
