The Lisk DAO Fund Has Closed

As announced today, Lisk is narrowing to a single focus: modern money operations for finance teams. The Lisk DAO is proposing to wind down as part of that change. You can read the full story in the announcement post.

This is a short note on what that means specifically for the Lisk DAO Fund.

The Fund launched in October 2025 with a 4,000,000 LSK budget to shift the DAO from grant-giving to strategic investments, backing teams through SAFEs and SAFTs. During its existence, it met over 40+ founders across Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia and made three investments: LovCash, Cr3dentials, and Jamit. The quality of those builders is genuinely inspiring, and that conviction hasn’t changed.

As Lisk concentrates its resources on its new product, a standalone investment vehicle sits outside that focus. The Fund has therefore closed ahead of its planned two-year run, with the legal handover completed in May 2026. In short:

  • Investments are staying in the family. LovCash, Cr3dentials, and Jamit moved to Onchain Ventures AG with continued institutional support.

  • The residual capital has been returned to Lisk Ltd, minus early termination costs.

A DAO Fund FAQ is included in the broader DAO FAQs for anything not covered here.

Thank you to every founder who came through the pipeline, every delegate who engaged, and every LSK holder who backed this initiative.
